The company unveiled two new devices: the Moto Watch Fit and the Moto Buds Loop. Both products have a fashion-conscious design. The buds are powered by Bose sound and one colorway comes with premium crystals. They also feature AI-powered enhancements that Motorola says help users stay connected and stylish.
Luxury meets Motorola and AI
The Moto Buds Loop are the company’s first open-ear earbuds. They are built with comfort and ambient awareness in mind. They come equipped with 12mm ironless drivers, spatial sound, and Sound by Bose tuning. They certainly look like high-quality earbuds, at least on paper. And thanks to a partnership with Swarovski, the French Oak colorway comes adorned with crystals.
If you’re not a fan of the Swarovski style, a Trekking Green colorway looks a bit more subdued.
Let’s not forget the Apple Moto Watch Fit
Meanwhile, on the wrist, the Moto Watch Fit pairs a 1.9-inch OLED display with over 100 workout modes, built-in GPS, and a full suite of health sensors. All of this is housed in an ultrathin aluminum frame and protected with Gorilla Glass 3. It also has 5ATM water resistance. Motorola claims the watch can last up to 16 days on a single charge.
Both the watch and the buds integrate with Moto’s AI. Users can create original watch faces from simple AI prompts. The earbuds can use voice commands for things like notification summaries and quick recordings. Smart Connect allows for smooth transitions between Lenovo and Motorola devices.
Motorola hasn’t been known as a premium brand… until now
Both devices can pair with any Android device, but they offer extra features when used within Motorola’s ecosystem. Syncing with the Moto Watch app, for example, is only available on a Moto phone.
This is all very surprising for a company better known for occupying the midrange of the Android market. Bose sound, AI-powered ecosystem, and Swarovski crystals make for a much different Motorola than we’ve grown used to. Motorola says pricing will vary by region, but the company is clearly aiming to compete with the higher-end of the market by focusing on both form and function.
