More Galaxy Watch 8 Renders Leak, Because Samsung Can’t Keep A Secret

New renders of the Galaxy Watch 8 lineup have leaked, confirming last week’s exclusive first look. Shared by @Evleaks, the new images show all three models—Galaxy Watch 8, Watch 8 Classic, and Watch Ultra 2025—from different angles, further cementing Samsung’s shift to a squircle design across the board.

Last week, we published the first renders of the entire Galaxy Watch 8 lineup – Galaxy Watch 8, Galaxy Watch 8 Classic, and Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025. Now, Evleaks has posted another render of each model, from a different angle and background. Which goes ahead and confirms the images we posted last week.

As we can see here, all three models will adopt the squircle design that the Galaxy Watch Ultra introduced last year. It’s much more apparent on the base model, since it does have a much smaller bezel. It’ll be interesting to see how Samsung spins this next month when the watches are made official. But we are expecting them to talk about durability. Since that was the big reason for using this design on the Ultra last year.

The Galaxy Watch Ultra is expected to get a new color option. So it could be similar to Apple’s Watch Ultra 2 last year, where they only launched the black titanium option for the Apple Watch Ultra, instead of an Ultra 3. This does seem likely, since the names we’ve seen mentioned are “Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra 2025”.

Samsung Unpacked is happening in July

Much like last year, Samsung is expected to host its Unpacked event next month in New York City. This would mark the first time that Samsung has hosted Unpacked in New York City in a few years, actually. As the past two January Unpackeds have been in San Jose, last year’s foldable Unpacked was in Paris, and the Unpacked for the Galaxy Z Fold 5 was in Korea. Before that, it was all virtual thanks to the pandemic. So this is a long time coming for New York City.

Alongside three new watches, we are also expecting to see the Galaxy Z Fold 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7, and possibly some new earbuds. There’s also talk about their Android XR headset being announced officially at this event. But I believe that Project Moohan will be released later in the year – perhaps at their Fall event with the FE models.
