Lenovo’s First Legion Tab Discount Is As Small As The Tablet, Follows Unexplained Price Hike

The Lenovo Legion Tab is one of the first small Android tablets in years that’s actually rather exciting, but it was hard to buy for a while. Now that things have stabilized, Lenovo is offering its first discount on the Legion Tab, but it barely counts following a recent and still-unexplained price hike.

Legion Tab (Gen 3) launched in the US in January and sold out almost immediately. It wasn’t until late February that the tablet was easy to buy, but that was quickly followed by a $50 price hike earlier this month that brought the price of the tablet from $499 up to $549.

Lenovo has not officially commented on the Legion Tab’s price hike – we’ve already asked, but have not heard back – but did confirm a similar price hike for the SteamOS version of the Legion Go S, still without a reason given.

But, now, the Legion Tab is seeing its first discount on the Lenovo store, with a 10% discount cutting the price from $549 down to $489. It’s a solid deal with the new pricing in mind, but does sting just a bit knowing that, just a couple of weeks ago, the tablet was available for $499 as its usual price. The Legion Tab is shipping immediately from Lenovo’s store and has not yet expanded to any other retailers.
