Lenovo Doesn’t Sell A White Legion Tab In The US, But The Case Still Looks Great [Gallery]

The Lenovo Legion Tab is finally available in the US, but we missed out on a white variant that’s sold in China. At the very least, though, you can still import the case.

At CES earlier this month, Lenovo announced the Legion Tab, an 8.8-inch Android tablet powered by Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and 12GB of RAM. Finally, an option that’s powerful and from a known brand, but under 10-inches in size. Pent up demand for such a product has led to the tablet going out of stock twice already.

This isn’t the first small Android tablet Lenovo has sold, though, as the company has two prior generations of this tablet in other regions, including China where it’s sold as the “Y700.” The latest version of the Lenovo Legion Y700 is sold in both black and white color variants in China. The white version isn’t sold anywhere else, which is a shame as it’s quite a looker.

Technically, you can get this variant in the States through Alibaba, but you’ll end up getting a unit with software designed for the Chinese market, which tends to vary greatly.

Personally, I would have gone for this color variant in a heartbeat, but I found the next best thing.

The Lenovo Legion Tab ships with a free folio case in the box which has a matching black color. But for as little as $20 or less, you can buy the white version that comes with this version from China.

I picked one of these up via eBay, where you can spend a little more to get it quicker, but they’re also available at Alibaba if you’re willing to wait. It’s the same case included with the US variant, just in white. The stark contrast between the black tablet and the white cover looks really nice in person.

The magnet ring is a mod, not included with the case

Of course, you’ll need a Legion Tab to actually use this case, and they’re currently out of stock. Lenovo just ran out earlier this week after accepting orders that would ship in mid-February. A restock likely isn’t too far out, but it might be a couple of months until the tablet starts shipping again.
