Leaked Promo Videos Show Nothing Phone (3a) Phones In Detail

If you’re in the market for an affordable Android smartphone, hold off on making your purchase right now. Nothing is set to announce a new A-series of phones, the company’s more budget-friendly lineup. Now, thanks to leaked promo videos (embedded below the article) shared by @MysteryLupin on X, we have a clear idea of what to expect from the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro.

Nothing hasn’t officially announced either phone yet. The company will most likely make the announcement at MWC 2025 next week. However, it appears that leading up to the announcement, promo videos for both the Nothing Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro have leaked. These videos have essentially spoiled Nothing’s announcement as they show the design of both phones in all of its glory.

For starters, it looks like Nothing will maintain the same semi-transparent back that shows off the Glyph lighting design system. The main difference here is that the normal Phone (3a) model has a rectangular camera module, while the Pro model has opted for a circular camera module. One thing to note is that Nothing will not launch a Plus model this year. Instead, the Pro model will replace the Plus.

In addition to the design, the promo videos confirm some of the rumored specs. This includes the use of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 and its 6.77-inch 3,000 nits peak brightness display, as well as the choice of camera lenses.

Rumored specs – what we know so far

Rumors suggest that both models will sport a 6.77-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. However, the leaked promo videos have confirmed it. The displays may also reach a peak brightness of 3,000 nits and feature Panda Glass protection, possibly as a cost-effective alternative to Corning’s Gorilla Glass. Both phones will also maintain the signature semi-transparent back with Glyph lighting.

Both phones will use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor. The main difference is the RAM. The Phone (3a) offers options of 8GB RAM with 128GB storage or 12GB RAM with 256GB storage. The Phone (3a) Pro comes exclusively with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Both the Phone (3a) and (3a) Pro feature a triple rear camera setup consisting of a 50MP main shooter with OIS, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 50MP telephoto lens with OIS. The Phone (3a) features a 2x telephoto lens, while the Phone (3a) Pro has a longer 3x periscope telephoto lens. The Phone (3a) has a 32MP front camera for selfies, while the Pro model gets a 50MP front-facing camera.

The phones are rumored to pack a 5,000mAh battery which supports 50W wired charging. They run on Nothing OS 3.1, which is based on Android 15, and offer dual SIM support. It also comes with an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Both devices are nearly identical save for the difference in base RAM options and cameras. We’ll have to wait for Nothing to make the announcement to get all the official details.
