Summary

  • May’s First Reads on Amazon offers two free e-books, including crime and mystery genres, and a children’s book.
  • Choose from eight titles this month, ranging from historical fiction to psychological thrillers.
  • Along with a bonus short read, select a free e-book that suits your taste this May, even options beyond crime and mystery.

It’s that time of the month once again. Now that we’ve entered May, Amazon’s First Reads program is once again giving away two free e-books to Prime members, and this month it looks like crime and mystery is the genre du jour, including access to the bonus short read Death Row (Alibis collection) from Freida McFadden. There’s also a children’s picture book in the mix if you’d rather claim a title your kids can enjoy, ensuring May’s First Reads selection is one you won’t want to miss on your favorite Kindle. Enjoy!

Which free Kindle e-books will you choose?

Sure, the bonus short read from Freida McFadden is a given; every Prime member gets a copy if they want it. But for the other eight titles, you’ll have to choose one. What’s nice is that if you’re not into crime and mystery, there are still a couple of choices that may strike your fancy, like Leslie Gray Streeter’s Family & Other Calamities: A Novel, where a journalist learns the pitfalls of becoming the center of the story. So, now that Amazon’s free First Reads titles are available for Prime subscribers as we enter into the month of May, which e-books will you be choosing?
