IPhone 17 Pro Max Concept Shows Realistic Design, Unrealistic Features: Video

Summary: A new concept video has surfaced, and it envisions the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It shows us a rather realistic look at the phone’s design, but it also demonstrates unrealistic features. Tocuh ID is mentioned, and the same goes for 45W wired charging. These are just some examples, though.

The iPhone 17 series is coming later this year, most probably in September. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will be the most powerful smartphone in the series, and it has just been depicted in a new concept video. That video is embedded below the article.

New iPhone 17 Pro Max concept video shows us a realistic look at the phone’s design

This one comes from 4RMD, and it actually shows a rather realistic look at the phone’s design. It’s basically the design that has leaked out. The thing is, the designer also tied some unrealistic expectations in terms of features here.

When it comes to design, it’s exactly what you’d expect. It has a flat display, with thin bezels, and a Dynamic Island. The frame is flat all around, while there is a new camera bar on the back. A larger camera bar that keeps the camera layout instact, more or less.

Touch ID embedded into the camera button simply won’t happen, but it would be nice

With that being said, the designer also mentioned some features that simply won’t happen in his video. He envisioned a fingerprint scanner being embedded in the camera button. That is clearly not happening. Apple pretty much gave up on Touch ID at this point.

He also mentioned a 6.9-inch display with thin bezels and a 30% smaller Dynamic Island. Chances are that the Dynamic Island size will also remain unchanged, but there you go.

The designer envisioned a new 48-megapixel periscope telephoto camera on the device, with 5x optical zoom and 50x digital zoom. Aluminum and glass design was mentioned, along with new AI features.

A 5,000mAh battery is also mentioned, along with 45W charging

A 5,000mAh battery is noted in the video, which is another unrealistic expectation. Charging will likely stay the same too, it won’t get a bump to 45W, as mentioned in the video. The designer also mentioned 12GB of RAM, iOS 19, and the Apple A19 Pro chip.

On top of everything, reverse wireless charging is also a part of this concept smartphone. The iPhone 17 Pro Max will likely include reverse wired charging, but not reverse wireless charging. There is hope, but it’s unlikely.

It would be nice to see Apple include everything mentioned by this concept designer, but that is simply not happening. Still, it’s nice to dream.
