IBUYPOWER RTX 5080 Gaming Desktops Are Now Up For Pre-Order
iBUYPOWER, like many gaming PC manufacturers this week, has announced that pre-orders are live for its latest gaming desktop PCs that are powered by the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080. NVIDIA officially announced the RTX 50-series GPUs back during CES on January 6. At the time, though, the GPUs themselves, and pre-built or custom PCs with them, weren’t available. Some weren’t announced either.
As of this morning, iBUYPOWER is joining Alienware and others in putting their latest PCs up for pre-order. Getting the PC from iBUYPOWER presents one big advantage though. And that’s savings. Alienware’s new Area-51, while very nice, starts at $4,499.99. Meanwhile, iBUYPOWER’s Hyte Y60 Black prebuilt clocks in at under $3,000. Sure, there are differences. The case is larger, it uses a different CPU, and it has a lower wattage power supply. All of these things will factor into the cost.
That being said, it still comes with 32GB of RAM, 2TB of storage, and an NVIDIA RTX 5080 GPU. It’s also using the Ryzen 7 9800X3D CPU, which is the fastest CPU on the market for gaming. All for a total price of $2,949.99. That’s not bad at all if you’re going the prebuilt route.
iBUYPOWER RTX 5080 PCs are customizable
While you can select whatever iBUYPOWER chooses for you, the nice thing about its prebuilt machines is that they’re customizable. There’s an entire configurator where you can select everything from the RAM to the motherboard. You can even select fans, RGB lighting, and other various parts. In short, you get a little more variety. It’s also possible to choose the case if you aren’t fond of the Hyte Y60.
For example, you can go with the stunning Fractal North XL for an extra $43.
RTX 5090 models are coming soon
As of right now, iBUYPOWER doesn’t have an option to choose the RTX 5090. Much like Alienware, these desktops will be available at a later date. iBUYPOWER does confirm that it will be carrying them, though. The cost is likely to increase by a few hundred dollars, but it will probably be worth it to have the most powerful GPU available.
Unfortunately, the company hasn’t said anything about when the RTX 5090 PCs will be up for pre-order. That being said, the GPU itself is out of stock everywhere already. So building your own PC with an RTX 5090 right now isn’t an option either. Unless you already got your hands on one. Essentially, all there is to do is wait.
What we wouldn’t wait on is pre-ordering a desktop with the RTX 5080 if that’s your goal. As they’ll be going out of stock before long as well.
