He talked about this upcoming product via its Weibo account. He said the following (machine translated): “Many people ask me about unexpected products. How is the progress of native HarmonyOS? Today, I’ll reveal something—see you in March!”
Based on a report from Phone Arena, he also mentioned that this phone will have a unique form factor and revolutionary improvements in both hardware and software. Considering that all of these teasers come from Weibo, it’s a teaser for a China launch. That doesn’t mean the said product won’t see the light of day in other countries at some point, though.
The launch of this product is also backed by Richard Yu’s comments from earlier this month when he said that Huawei is about to introduce its most innovative product ever. Those are big words considering that the Huawei Mate XT is one of the devices Huawei announced thus far. It’s the world’s first tri-fold handset.
