How To Watch The Nintendo Switch 2 Direct Livestream

Summary: Nintendo is holding its Switch 2 Direct livestream on April 2, and if you want to watch it, we’ve got you covered on how you can do that. As well as what to expect after the livestream kicks off.
Nintendo has been holding its Nintendo Direct livestream for several years now to showcase new products and games, and come April 2, it’ll finally be fully revealing the Nintendo Switch 2. This particular Nintendo Direct follows a livestream it held last week to showcase a few more games coming for the original Switch family of devices.
Tomorrow’s Nintendo Direct, of course, is the one everyone has been waiting for. The big reveal of Nintendo’s next console. Nintendo initially showed off the design of the Switch 2 back in January. However, that reveal only showed off the design and its changes compared to the original. Nintendo shared no information about the console in terms of features (here’s what I’m hoping for when it comes to upgrades and changes). It also left out any details about the price or when the Switch 2 will be available to buy. All of that is likely to be revealed during tomorrow’s livestream.
With that being said, if you’re looking to catch the stream while it’s actually live, here’s how you can do that so you’re up to speed alongside everyone else.
For starters, Nintendo will hold this livestream on its official YouTube channel. So, if you want to catch it live, YouTube will be a confirmed place to catch all the details. Nintendo also has an official Twitch channel and it may stream the Direct there as well.
As for timing, Nintendo will be starting the livestream at 6AM Pacific Standard Time. That’s quite early for those on the West Coast. So be sure to get some sleep and wake up bright and early if you want to watch the event live. It’s also worth noting that it likely isn’t going to start promptly at 6AM Pacific Standard Time. The last Direct started a couple of minutes or so after 6AM. So keep that in mind. If you’re going to be watching on YouTube, you’ll be able to view the stream from the video below.
What to expect during the livestream
This Nintendo Direct is all about the Nintendo Switch 2. It will be roughly an hour long, which means there’s plenty of time for Nintendo to show off a bunch of stuff. Some of the Direct will probably be focused on the Nintendo Switch 2’s features and hardware specs. While the other part of it will most likely focus on games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. Don’t be surprised if some of these games are also coming to the original Switch family of devices.
That being said, you can probably expect some of the games to be specific to Nintendo’s new console. Although it hasn’t been confirmed, Nintendo will probably share both the price of the Switch 2 and the pre-order and launch dates. The price has been rumored to be $399, with the launch date rumored to be sometime in June. A more recent rumor has also stated that April 9 will be the day that Nintendo opens up pre-orders. This is also after a past rumor suggested that pre-orders would open up tomorrow after the Nintendo Direct.
