Honor Reportedly Preparing Its Own ‘Mini’ Flagship And An Ultra-Thin Phone

Fresh off of its “Alpha Plan” unveiling at MWC 2025, new rumors suggest Honor is working on a new “Mini” phone release and an ultra-slim device as well, following industry trends.

There are two trends happening in the smartphone space right now. One of those is the idea of extremely thin phones. Samsung has been showing off the Galaxy S25 Edge, due out in April, while Tecno brought the “Spark Slim” to MWC as well.

Honor is apparently also getting in on this trend, with an ultra-thin device in the works as hinted by Digital Chat Station. The leaker says a “new folder has been created” for the device, suggesting that the device is in development but still has a ways to go before being completed. As such, details are still unclear. Given Honor’s impressively-thin Magic V3 foldable, though, the company is surely capable of delivering an impressively thin slab smartphone.

Beyond that, the company is also apparently preparing a smaller smartphone of sorts. DCS says that “Yaozi” – a rough translation which possibly routes back to the Chinese word for “glory,” in turn pointing to Honor as the brand being discussed – is working on a “small screen flagship.” The device would apparently have a 6.3-inch display. Not exactly “mini,” but considerably smaller than the 6.8-inch display of the Honor Magic 7 Pro.

Timelines for both of these devices remain unclear.
