Honor’s latest mid-range series has arrived with the Honor 400 and Honor 400 Pro bringing, you guessed it, a ton of AI starting at €499.
The Honor 400 series consists of three devices, technically. The base Honor 400 Lite launched earlier this year with a dedicated camera button and a reasonably good package for €299, but its siblings are quite a bit more exciting.
Starting with the base Honor 400, this device starts at €499 and is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. It also packs 8GB of RAM and either 256GB of storage or 512GB for a €50 price increase. It also packs a 200MP rear camera and a 12MP ultrawide, as well as a 50MP front-facing camera for selfies. The 6.55-inch AMOLED display hits 5,000 nits in brightness and is 120Hz as well. A 5,300 mAh battery powers the show with 66W fast charging over USB-C.
Meanwhile, Honor 400 Pro gets a bigger 6.7-inch display, IP68/IP69 dust/water resistance, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. In addition to the 200MP, 12MP, and 50MP cameras on the 400, this device also picks up a third 50MP rear-facing telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom. It has the same 5,300 mAh battery, but with faster 100W charging.

Both devices, though, are focused heavily on AI features.
Honor touts that the cameras rely on AI to improve image quality, but AI is also used for enhanced image editing including “AI Eraser,” reflection removal, and more. There’s also an “Image to Video” function here that’s powered by Google Cloud and can turn any image into a brief video. AI is also used to combine 2-9 photos which are stitched “together into dynamic storytelling moments.”
This is in addition to the numerous other AI tools already found in Honor’s Android skin, MagicOS, which is based on Android 15 for now and promised 6 years of major updates. Other AI features include translation, summary, and recorder tools.
Honor 400 starts at €499 in Europe, and £399.99 in the UK. Honor 400 Pro jumps up to €799/£699.
