Honor has officially announced plans to launch the Honor 400 series later this month, and revealed the design of its new mid-range offering.
Following up on last year’s Honor 200 series, the new generation delivers a very different design in this first teaser. The camera module ditches its unique oval design for something that feels more similar to what we saw on 2024’s Magic 6 Pro. The cameras themselves are still placed in a unique way, as was the case last time around, but they’re more visible in this new design.
A big focus in the teaser is that the Magic 400 series – though seemingly only the Pro – will have a “200MP AI Camera.”
In terms of the hardware, we can also see that the base model only has two cameras and flatter edges along the frame, while the Pro has a trio of rear-facing sensors and a curved frame that looks like it might even be thinner. Recent leaks suggest the base model will be smaller and use Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, while the Pro would use last year’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and have a 6.7-inch display. Those reports are unconfirmed by Honor at this point, though.
Neither device seems to have the camera-controlling button found on the Honor 400 Lite that launched last month.
The launch event takes place on May 22 and will be held in London.
