Apple showcased iOS 26 at WWDC25, debuting its new Liquid Glass design on the iPhone. The OS also packs several features that Pixel phones have had for years: Call screening, Hold Assist, and more. Now, Google has published a new Pixel ad under its “BestPhonesForever campaign, taking a dig at the iPhone for copying features the Pixel introduced years ago and even slyly teasing the upcoming Google Pixel 10 towards the end.

The “Talking Phones Podcast Episode 240” starts with the iPhone referring to an older video in the ad series, on how “people think I’m doing the same thing as you, but it’s all just like a crazy coincidence.” The Pixel cheekily replies to this as “totally crazy.”
The iPhone then proceeds to highlight all the new features Apple announced as part of iOS 26 at WWDC, like Live translation for text messages, Call screening, and Hold Assist — features which the Pixel has had for the last 5–7 years.
Towards the end of the video, the iPhone straight up asks the Pixel, “so what are you working on for Pixel 10?…just like out of curiosity.” That’s where the ad ends, with Google plugging the Pixel 9 Pro. However, this is the first time the company has officially teased the Pixel 10 like this.
While the advert does not tease the imminent arrival of the phone, multiple reports indicate that Google is gearing up for a mid-August launch event. It was even caught shooting a Pixel 10 commercial out in the wild.
Pixel 10 will be all about its internal changes
Google will likely take a few more potshots at the iPhone and iOS 26’s new features as it starts teasing the Pixel 10 in the coming weeks. Leaks have already revealed almost everything about Google’s upcoming Pixels.
If the CAD renders that popped up a few months ago are anything to go by, the Pixel 10 family will look the same as their predecessor. But internally, they will use a new Tensor chip fabricated on TSMC’s superior foundry, which should lead to a significant improvement in power efficiency. Google may finally be ready to put an end to the Pixel’s battery life woes for good this year.
Additionally, the base Pixel 10 might gain a telephoto camera, with higher-end models supporting telephoto macro.
