Google Pixel Drops Mic On IPhone In New Ad—It’s Kind Of Brutal

Google is back with yet another #BestPhonesForever ad, and this one is also quite entertaining. This time around, best friends, iPhone and Pixel, are podcasting and addressing claims that the iPhone is a copycat.
Some of you may remember that Google released a similar ad a while back. That one was called ‘Responding to the Rumors’, while this one is titled ‘Responding to MORE Rumors’. IN any case, Google is throwing some more shade at Apple here.
They’re talking about how crazy it is that people are saying iPhone is copying Pixel, while iPhone is stating how that’s just a crazy coincidence. They’re heavy on the word “crazy” in this video.
In the video that is embedded below, you’ll see how iPhone lists its new features, which Google had years ago. So, for example, live translation for text messages, which Google’s Pixel phones have had for four years at this point. That’s something that Pixel makes clear in the video.
The next feature mentioned is hold assist, which Pixels had for five years. The last feature mentioned is call screening, which Pixels has had for seven years at this point. Google is very heavy on sarcasm in this video. The company generally is in this series of ads, but it’s just off the hook here.
Google really dropped the mic towards the end of the ad
To wrap things up, iPhone asks Pixel: “Sooo… what are you working on for Pixel 10? Just like, out of curiosity.” Pixel’s answer is “Um”, and that’s where Google decided to cut this video. It’s hard to deny the entertainment factor of these ads. Some are funnier than others, this one is up there, though.
It has a duration of 1 minute, and if you’d like to check it out, we’ve embedded it below for your viewing pleasure.
