Google Expands AI Image Remixer “Whisk” To 100+ Countries

Google is one of the companies most focused on developing AI-based products and tools. The firm was among the first to heavily bet on the artificial intelligence segment after the revolution driven by OpenAI’s ChatGPT, a decision that has paid off. In a new development, Google has expanded the availability of Whisk, its experimental AI-powered image remixing tool, to more than 100 countries.

The Mountain View giant announced Whisk last year. It is an experimental image generation tool, but a bit different from the multitude of options you can find in the segment. Most image generators work using text prompts. However, Whisk is designed to replace the classic prompts with images.

Google Whisk is now available in over 100 countries

For months, the service has been available exclusively for users in the United States. Now, Google has expanded it to more than 100 countries around the world. It’s noteworthy that, even after the expansion, some key countries are still out. The list includes India, Indonesia, the UK, and the whole EU bloc. Plus, Google is still labeling Whisk as an “experimental” tool within its Labs program. The “Labs” developments are meant to showcase the capabilities of Google’s technology.

As previously stated, Whisk lets you generate images using other images as a base instead of limiting yourself to classic text prompts. You can use up to three images to define three key parameters: the subject, the scene, and the style. This will let you get a remixed image through the power of Imagen 3, the firm’s latest AI image generation model.

Whisk still accepts text prompts

Although Whisk is primarily image-based, you can still use text prompts. However, this is primarily for adding specific details about each of the parameters. This gives you great versatility to try out dozens—or hundreds—of different mixes. You can access Whisk through this link both from desktop as well as from smartphones.
