Google Calendar is the latest Workspace app to get the Gemini side panel on the web. This is currently being tested in Workspace Labs.
The Gemini sparkle appears between the Calendar/Tasks switcher and the app launcher in the top-right corner of calendar.google.com. Tapping launches the panel that’s already available in Gmail, Google Drive, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Chat.
Gemini in Google Calendar lets you conversationally:
Check your schedule
- “When’s the next time I’ll meet with Annie?”
- “When is my first meeting tomorrow?”
- “How many meetings do I have on Friday?”

Create an event
- “Add brunch on Saturday at 11 AM to my schedule.”
- “Add a weekly workout every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 6 AM.”
- “Add an hour-long event called Commute at 8 AM and 5 PM today.”
- Tip: After you create an event, to manually invite people, click the event.
Look up event details
- “What time does my next workout start?”
- “How long is my meeting with Jim?”
- “Where is the lunch scheduled today?”
Google Calendar’s Gemini side panel is currently available for some users enrolled in Workspace Labs.
