Galaxy Weather Gets Fresh UI Updates In One UI 7

Samsung is finally beginning to crack down on getting One UI 7 to users across the globe. Though it’s still in the process of getting to users, Samsung has detailed a few new changes to the weather app with the One UI 7 update.

In the grand scheme of updates, the changes Samsung details for the weather app are relatively small. However, they still expand on what the app actually presents as far as data goes. The changes will also make the app easier to use in the long run.

According to a changelog from Samsung, the One UI 7 weather app’s widget options will be simplified to two. When expanded on screen, they’ll still have the same characteristics of displaying more information. The change is small, but it might be helpful for users trying to fit more information on their home screen.

The update also brings something called a “life forecast.” The life forecast will showcase forecasts based on preferred activities. The app will offer suggestions for running, biking, stargazing, walking, golf, hiking, and camping. Depending on what activity you’re interested in, the app will provide a little more information that might determine if you go on a run or stay up late to see a passing comet cluster.

Other small adjustments are being made to the One UI 7 weather app for easier readability. For instance, the details page regarding UV readings, humidity, and wind will offer small descriptions so it’s easier to find the information you’re looking for at a glance. Cities will also be easier to switch between. The app will allow you to swipe between forecasts depending on what city you’re looking for.

None of these weather app changes are massive, especially not in terms of big One UI 7 updates. Still, they offer a little more clarity in terms of forecasts and help you get the weather info you need quickly. Samsung notes that the UI changes will take effect in One UI 7, so be on the lookout for your update.
