Following the Galaxy Tab S10 series earlier this week, Samsung has also released One UI 7 for the Galaxy Tab S9 series.
Available firstly in Korea, Samsung has started rolling out the One UI 7 update, based on Android 15, to the Galaxy Tab S9, Tab S9+, and Tab S9 Ultra. The update carries the April 2025 security patch, like other devices that were updated to One UI 7, and has a firmware version ending in CYD9.
So far, the update has only been spotted in South Korea, much like the One UI 7 update for the Galaxy Tab S10 series, Fold 5, Flip 5, and Galaxy S23 series.
Other regions are due for the update as well, but Samsung has not yet started the wider global rollout. Following a delay for the over One UI 7 rollout for Galaxy S24 and the company’s 2024 foldables, Samsung only just this week resumed the rollout on the global stage. A previous schedule from Samsung had the Tab S9 update set for May 2025, so the simple fact that it’s been released at all this early is surprising.
