It’s been over a year since Samsung launched its latest Galaxy Tab S FE devices to the market. So, fans are hoping that the next iteration will include some major improvements. Recent leaks have revealed key details about the brand’s upcoming tablets. Now, another source has revealed virtually all of the tech specs of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy S10 FE+.
The new leak from WinFuture mentions some details we already knew and adds a few more. According to the leak, the Exynos 1580 chip will power the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series. The new Samsung Galaxy A56 also boasts the same SoC. It promises significant performance improvements compared to the previous generation chip.
Most of the key specs of the Galaxy Tab S10 FE and Galaxy S10 FE+ have been leaked
The Exynos 1580 has an octa-core CPU with 4x high-performance Cortex-A720 cores and 4x power-efficient Cortex-A520 cores. An Xclipse 540 GPU is in charge of graphics processing. Overall, the new chip offers 45% more powerful CPU and 80% more powerful GPU performance than the Exynos 1380 SoC featured in the Galaxy Tab S9 FE series. Both tablets will be available in 8GB and 12GB RAM variants, as well as 128GB and 256GB storage options.
The Galaxy Tab S10 FE will sport a 10.9-inch display with a resolution of 2,304 x 1,440 pixels. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ will boast a massive 13.1-inch display with 2,880 x 1,800 px. Sadly, we don’t know whether Samsung will stick with LCD technology or eventually make the jump to AMOLED displays. The report also doesn’t mention the refresh rate of the displays. For reference, the 2023 Galaxy Tab S9 FE series came with 90Hz LCD IPS displays. However, the next-gen models will offer a peak brightness of 800 nits (600 nits on the Galaxy Tab S9 FE lineup).
As you may already know, photography isn’t the most important part of tablets. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE and S10 FE+ are said to have a single 13MP rear camera and a 12MP ultra-wide front camera. The rear sensor could record 4K video at 30 fps. For connectivity, the tablets will support Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.4, GPS, and USB-C. Models with cellular connectivity will offer 5G support. You’ll also get stereo speakers, a fingerprint reader, and an IP68 rating for protection against water and dust.
An 8,000 mAh battery could keep the lights on on the Galaxy Tab S10 FE. On the other hand, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ could be equipped with a larger 10,090 mAh battery. Both models may support 45W wired fast charging.
Samsung could keep the same price as the previous launch
Like recent Samsung launches, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE series is expected to run One UI 7.0 out of the box. The company could offer up to six major Android OS updates. Lastly, the report suggests that Samsung will not be raising the launch price of the new tablets.
