Galaxy S25 Ultra’s Sales Double Its Siblings’ Combined

Samsung’s latest earnings call for Q1 2025 yielded some rather interesting data. The company confirmed that sales of the Galaxy S25 series have been a hit during its first two months on the market. However, they didn’t reveal more details about unit shipment figures. Now, a third-party financial firm has revealed approximate unit sales figures for the Galaxy S25 lineup, reflecting a clear dominance of the Ultra model.
The Galaxy S25 Ultra is an expensive smartphone, as expected from the most premium model in the firm’s catalog. It offers Samsung’s best mobile performance and camera experience, boasting a distinctive design and some exclusive features—such as camera options and S Pen support. Much has been said about the loss of Bluetooth features on the S Pen and the $1,299 starting price. However, these factors do not seem to have been a problem for the company’s fans.
Galaxy S25 Ultra sales, a hit for Samsung
Financial services firm Hana Securities has revealed that the Galaxy S25 Ultra has outsold both the Galaxy S25 and Galaxy S25+ combined.
According to the report, Samsung’s total smartphone sales for Q1 2025 reached 20.29 million units. The firm’s mobile device sales in March 2025 were up 5% compared to February 2025. However, the figures are 2% below those of March 2024.
Of the 20.29 million phones sold in Q1 2025, the Galaxy S25 series accounted for approximately 9.16 million units. The report also includes a breakdown of units sold by model. Hana Securities revealed that the vanilla Galaxy S25 sold approximately 2.41 million units. On the other hand, the Galaxy S25+ model had approximately 1.67 million sold phones. Then there’s the Galaxy S25 Ultra, with an impressive 5.08 million units sold.
Tariffs may have influenced the high sales of the Galaxy S25 series, according to a recent report. It remains to be seen whether this trend continues in the coming months.
