Galaxy S25 Series Gets The First One UI 7 Update And It’s Massive

Last month, Samsung finally launched the Galaxy S25 series smartphones. The Galaxy S25 trio comes with Android 15-based One UI 7 pre-installed. At the launch event, the company showcased tons of new features, many of which have an AI touch. Now, Samsung is reportedly rolling out the very first update to the One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series smartphones, with a gigantic download size.

Folks over at SamMobile reported that the download size of the very first update for the Galaxy S25 series phones is 24GB. In comparison, that’s 10GB more than the first update for the Galaxy S24 Ultra, which weighed around 14GB last year.

The latest update to One UI 7 on the Galaxy S25 series is reportedly rolling out first in the US and Europe. The European variants of the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25 Plus, and Galaxy S25 Ultra carry the firmware version S93xBXXU1AYA1. On the other hand, the US variants of the same phones come with firmware version S93xUSQU1AYA1.

The first update for the Galaxy S25 series also includes the December 2024 security patch. However, it’s unclear what extra the latest update may include because Samsung hasn’t officially announced anything just yet. For those wondering about new features, the update is unlikely to introduce many, as most may have already been there.

Early buyers have reported activation issues

Samsung started the sale of the Galaxy S25 series in late January.
