Galaxy S25 Edge Release Date Reportedly Scheduled For Late May, With A Delay In The US

Galaxy Unpacked has reportedly been moved to May 13, when Samsung is expected to deliver the news on its thinnest Galaxy S25 model, the Galaxy S25 Edge. New reports indicate that the Galaxy S25 Edge will have a release date shortly after in Korea first.

It was originally reported that Galaxy Unpacked would be held in April, though those expectations were shifted while One UI 7 was being delayed across the board. According to previous leaks, this launch delay had reportedly been moved to May.

Now, it seems that the leak is all but confirmed, with details surrounding the phone’s availability after.

News broke in Korea that Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, a month after it was initially intended (via FNNews). The device is expected to be available for pre-order on May 14.

After the announcement, the source indicated that the Galaxy S25 Edge would be released on May 23 in Korea and China. The device will be released on the global stage on May 30, meaning the US and Europe will be late in getting the new Edge model. Whether or not this is a delay for the US is unclear.

Samsung’s first Galaxy Edge variant — if you ignore every “Edge” model before it — will cost around $1,030, though that hasn’t been set in stone. The body will be 5.84 mm thick and weigh around 162g. It’s a thin, light phone that Samsung hopes will cater to a substantial audience, though some question the comfort of carrying something so thin on a daily basis. Still, it’ll be an interesting shift from the standard set of Galaxy devices.
