After teasing it earlier this year, Samsung has officially unveiled its slim smartphone, the Galaxy S25 Edge, which ships later this month starting at $1,099.
The Galaxy S25 Edge – not to be confused with the company’s prior Edge-branded devices – is Samsung’s super-slim smartphone. The flagship-tier device runs on top of specs similar to the rest of the Galaxy S25 series, but in a chassis that’s just 5.8mm thick. That’s roughly 30% thinner than the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
Despite the thinner size, this is a flagship device in pretty much every way. It has a 6.7-inch QHD+ AMOLED display at 120Hz, an ultrasonic under-display fingerprint sensor, and has 12GB of RAM with 256GB or 512GB of storage. It runs on top of Snapdragon 8 Elite – the full 8-core version – and has three total cameras. There’s a 200MP main camera on the back, the same one as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, as well as a 12MP ultrawide camera. Another 12MP camera is available for selfies, but there’s no telephoto lens.
Galaxy S25 Edge uses the same premium materials as the rest of the flagship series. The frame is titanium with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 on the back and Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 on the front. It also features IP68 dust/water resistance and comes in three colors – Jetblack, Icyblue, and Silver.

A notable aspect of the device is that it weighs in at just 163g, 25% lighter than the Galaxy S25 Ultra and just 1g heavier than the smaller base Galaxy S25.
The only place where there’s a major sacrifice is in the power department.
The battery itself is tiny by modern standards at 3,900 mAh, smaller than the base Galaxy S25 which has a 6.2-inch display at a lower resolution. Charging is also capped at 25W, slower than the 45W found on Galaxy S25+ and Ultra. Wireless charging is also still available.
As for the software, Galaxy S25 Edge unsurprisingly runs Android 15 with One UI 7 out of the box, with all of Samsung and Google’s usual AI features too.
The Galaxy S25 Edge will start at $1,099 in the US for its 256GB variant, with the 256GB model costing $1,219. Pre-orders open today and devices will ship later this month on May 30.
