For The First Time, Samsung’s One UI 7 Rollout Is Actually Ahead Of Schedule

Samsung’s One UI 7 rollout has been nothing short of a minor disaster, but the company is finally picking up steam and, for the first time, is actually ahead of schedule.

After a 6-month delay from the time of Android 15’s release, Samsung finally kicked off its rollout of One UI 7 outside of beta to the Galaxy S24 series and its 2024 foldables on April 8 and through April 10 in other parts of the globe. Another bug with the update then caused a pause and delay, but things were back on track fairly quickly.

Following that delay, though, Samsung’s official schedule shifted. While the Galaxy S24 series, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6 remained unchanged, all other devices were moved to May, June, and even as far back as July. However, Samsung has been beating its own timeline as of late.

The Galaxy S23 series, Z Fold 5, Flip 5, Tab S10 series, and Tab S9 series have all been seeing their One UI 7 updates ahead of schedule. That’s now being accelerated even further, with updates now rolling out to the Galaxy S22 series, S23 FE, and the Z Flip 4 and Fold 4 as well (h/t SammyGuru, SamMobile). These devices were always slated for a May 2025 release, meaning that, finally, Samsung is truly ahead of schedule with this rollout. It remains to be seen how fast these updates will reach the global market, though.
