FCC Listing Provides New Details On Possible OnePlus Watch 3 Mini

Contents
Summary: A new smartwatch from OnePlus has surfaced at the FCC, suggesting it may come with a smaller display and overall smaller watch case. This could be the rumored OnePlus Watch 3 Mini that was recently hinted at back in March.
A new smartwatch from OnePlus has reportedly shown up at the FCC in a new listing, and it’s believed to be a smaller smartwatch than what OnePlus currently offers or has offered in the past. When it comes to smartwatch sizes, we’ve seen them released in several forms with screens that range from big to small.
From Google’s more recently launched 45mm Pixel Watch 3 to Samsung’s 47mm Galaxy Watch Ultra. Even the OnePlus Watch 3 features a larger size at around 47mm. But it appears the company may be looking to shrink things down a bit with this new offering. The FCC listing, as pointed out by 91mobiles, details a watch that measures 48.03 mm x 43.14 mm. Suggesting that OnePlus is looking to launch a 43mm model of a smartwatch.
What’s still unclear is whether or not this will be a brand-new watch or something that’s just a smaller variant of the OnePlus Watch 3.
FCC listing hints at smaller OnePlus smartwatch, possibly a “mini” variant of another device
As of right now, there’s not a whole lot known about this upcoming watch. The FCC listing is pretty light on details, but it does confirm the watch is from OnePlus and that it is a smartwatch device. It’s suggested that this could be a “mini” version of an already available watch. OPPO, OnePlus’ sister company, already offers the OPPO Watch X2 Mini in China. So the theory is that this could be a rebranded version of that watch for the global markets.
This wouldn’t be too surprising, as companies do this all the time. OnePlus and OPPO in particular have done this several times. It’s also suggested that this might be re-named the OnePlus Watch 3 Mini. This would make the most sense, given OnePlus just launched the OnePlus Watch 3 and has made it available in global markets. Such a watch from OnePlus has also surfaced before. Back at the end of March, a leak suggested the company might be preparing for the global release of a smaller smartwatch device. This FCC listing seems to support that.
Although there are tons of people who prefer bigger smartwatches, not everyone is keen on having a larger watch display. It makes sense for OnePlus to capture this part of the market. As there are just as many people who prefer something more akin to 42mm or 43mm.
There are a few specs listed
Although the FCC listing is light on details, there are one or two specs listed. For example, it looks like this new watch will have a battery capacity of 345mAh. The OPPO Watch X2 Mini also has this battery capacity, pointing to further evidence that this might be a Mini OnePlus Watch 3. Then again, this is still speculation, and there’s no hard evidence or proof. So until it’s confirmed by OnePlus, take the details with a grain of salt.
