Crucial Showcases New Memory & Storage Solutions At CES
Contents
Micron’s name has been making a lot of noise in the tech industry lately. The company has become a major global provider of HBM chips, which are key for hardware that focuses on AI. Plus, the Galaxy S25 series is said to use Micron memory in most units as it is more efficient than Samsung’s. Now, Micron has used CES 2025 to announce its latest Crucial memory and storage solutions.
Micron sells its products aimed at the consumer market through its Crucial brand. Its latest products promise to offer very high performance for the most intensive tasks. The list includes a couple of SSD models with different form factors: the Crucial P510 SSD and the Crucial P310. There are also new density options for the Crucial DDR5 Pro OC and Crucial DDR5 Pro memory solutions.
These are Micron’s Crucial new memory and storage solutions
Starting with the SSDs, the Crucial P510 boasts impressive read and write speeds of up to 11,000 MB/s and 9,000 MB/s, respectively. The PCIe Gen 5.0-enabled SSD consumes up to 25% less power than the previous generation, which is great. The company will initially offer it in two variants: 1TB and 2TB. However, Crucial will launch higher-density versions in the near future if you need more.
Regarding the Crucial P310, this SSD uses a more compact format—NVMe 2230 M.2. Its form factor makes it especially ideal for PC gaming handhelds like the Steam Deck and ROG Ally X, for example. This SSD boasts read and write speeds of up to 7,100 MB/s and 6,000 MB/s, respectively. It is available in 500GB, 1TB, and 2TB capacity variants.
Crucial DDR5 Pro RAM comes in higher capacity
Crucial’s new memory solutions are also interesting. The company did not come out with completely new products; instead, they added more density options to some of the existing ones. The current Crucial DDR5 Pro OC RAM is now available in a 32GB variant. Previously, you could only buy it in 16GB. On the other hand, the Crucial DDR5 Pro (non-OC version) will be available in a 64GB version that will reach a speed of 5600 MT/s.
All of Micron’s Crucial new memory and storage solutions will be available soon. In fact, some of them can already be found on the brand’s website.
