Circle To Search Could Be Your Next Gaming Buddy

You’re facing this one REALLY hard boss on your favorite mobile game, and you keep dying; or maybe you just suck at Plants vs. Zombies. Whatever the reason, we’ve all struggled to progress in a game before. Wouldn’t it be great if you could have some help? Well, don’t throw your phone at the wall just yet because Circle To Search could actually help you with your gaming.

This won’t be quite as in-depth (or scary) as Project Ava from Razer. That’s an AI platform that can give you real time help and strategies in-game. Rather, it will be an easy way to find content to help you with the game you’re playing.

How Circle To Search could help you with your gaming

It’s important to know that this feature isn’t out yet. We don’t know when Google will launch the feature, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for it. You can see the feature in action below.

Basically, when you summon Circle To Search while in a game, you’ll see a chip appear above the toolbar. The chip will read (Get Game Help). We’re not sure if the AI will automatically identify the game you’re playing or if the phone will communicate to Google what the app is. Either way, when you tap on the chip, you’ll see a Google search appear with visual matches. Obviously, the more popular the game is you’re playing, the easier it will be to find visual matches.

You’d expect this feature to work in the same way as the “Ask about this video” or “Ask about this screen” function, but that’s not really the case. Gemini won’t give you an AI-generated rundown of what to do. What it does is give you a quick and easy way to find guides that would help you with your game.

If Google is struggling to give you a good answer, then you’ll be able to add additional context via text. So, you’ll be able to narrow things down to refine the search. Since Google is still developing this feature, there’s no telling when we’ll see it roll out.
