Brisk It’s New Zelos Smart Grill Brings AI To Wood-Smoked BBQ

Smoked BBQ can be a daunting task for anyone who isn’t well-versed in the intricacies of this devilishly delicious cooking method, but with the Zelos smart grill that Brisk It is showing off at CES 2025, it doesn’t have to be. While you’ll still need to know your way around a grill somewhat, the Zelos-450’s many smart features can help things along to ensure your food comes out tasty without you being a certified grill master. Now this is tech that can get your mouth watering. Literally. It’s also an interesting smart home addition because it’s probably not the typical thing you think about when you think about smart home. But it’s for your home and it’s smart, so it fits.

Aided by Brisk It’s Vera 2.0 cooking AI software and features, the Zelos-450 is capable of simplifying the grilling process so virtually anyone can cook up a nice meal. It has several features to make things easier including the ability to serve you up some recipes if you aren’t sure what to cook. That should be a feature everyone can appreciate because we’ve all been there. One minute you’re jazzed up about firing up the grill for some BBQ, the next you’re scratching your head because you have no idea what to throw on it.

The Brisk It Zelos grill with Vera 2.0 can re-create recipes with just a photo

There are a lot of ways the Vera 2.0 software can make your cooking life easier. For starters, it can re-create recipes for you. Maybe you saw a recipe online or you had a dish while out at one of your favorite BBQ joints. Use Vera to take a picture of that recipe and it can re-create it for you. Briks It says it can even give you customizable tweaks to make it your own. That sounds pretty simple to us. But it gets even simpler.

Snapping a photo of ingredients or a dish can also result in specialized meal plans. This could come in handy for people who have certain dietary preferences or restrictions. It’s also possible to use the Vera software to get recipe inspiration while out shopping for groceries. And in doing so, you can be sure you have everything you need while you’re still at the store. Because nobody likes having to go back for a missed ingredient once they’ve gotten home.

BBQ done right, now with one click

Look, it’s easy to be skeptical of cooking hardware that takes over for you. And no doubt purists will scoff at the idea of BBQ that wasn’t crafted by human hands the whole way. To some degree, maybe those people are right. There’s something special about really good food that was made with love and passion by another person just for you. Having said that, there’s most certainly room for a gadget that helps anyone create some really good food.

If it helps more people cook more often, then I’m all for it. Especially if things are as easy as the Zelos-450 grill makes them. With a single click, the Brisk It Zelos-450 automates the entire cooking process so you don’t have to stand there and watch over it from start to finish. You can also use the Brisk It app to monitor cooking progress and make adjustments as needed. You’ll get alerts about when your food is done too. So you can relax a little bit.

Additionally, the Zelos-450 lets you cook things at a low 180-degree temp for slow-cooked meals, or at high heat going to a maximum of 500 degrees. Of course, it can do anything in between as well. So you have a wide range of possibilities depending on the dish. Brisk It hasn’t mentioned a specific price but says the Zelos-450 grill will go on sale in Q1 via Amazon, Home Depot, Walmart, Lowes, and its own website.
