Bose QuietComfort Ultra Earbuds 2: AI ANC Takes Noise Cancellation To New Heights

Contents
Popular audio device manufacturer Bose heated the noise-cancellation game for in-ear headphones by launching the QuietComfort Ultra earbuds in 2023. Now, the company is back with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra earbuds 2, aimed to compete with the AirPods Pro 2 and Sony’s WF-1000XM5, among others. Bose’s new wireless audio accessory delivers enhanced artificial intelligence-powered ANC (Active Noise Cancellation), better call quality, and a new charging case with support for wireless charging.
Bose’s new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds 2 deliver better call quality, ANC, and more
When it comes to design, Bose’s new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds 2 aren’t much different than their predecessor. However, the new offering gets better adaptive noise cancellation and voice pickup features, which improve the overall calling experience.
Bose has included an updated AI algorithm on top of its CustomTune sound calibration tech to enhance the ActiveSense experience in Aware Mode. This provides a smoother transition between noise cancellation levels. The company has included a new AI-backed noise suppression system in the new earbuds to enhance voice pickup with the various built-in microphones. Furthermore, the new audio accessory utilizes Bose’s audio augmentation tech to reduce background noise.
Same battery life as the predecessor, but with a wireless charging case
Bose’s new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds 2 offer a battery life similar to the predecessor’s. You’ll get six hours of battery life on a single charge. Also, the charging case will provide three additional full charges. However, the company’s new case for the audio device comes with support for wireless charging, which was a feature much requested by the owners of the first-gen Ultra earbuds offering.
As for the pricing, Bose’s new QuietComfort Ultra earbuds (2nd-gen) will retail for $299 in black, white, and a limited-edition deep plum colorway. The device will be going on sale in the US later this summer. Alongside the new earbuds, the company has also introduced two Bluetooth speakers – the SoundLink Plus and SoundLink Micro. These will be available soon at a starting price of $129.
