TECNO comes out of left field with a pair of amazing-looking AI-powered glasses at MWC
Don’t underestimate companies that focus on the mid-range tech segment. Sometimes, they have something incredible up their sleeves. This is the case with TECNO. The Chinese brand has dazzled us with its gorgeous Camon 40 series of phones among other devices in the past couple of years. Well, at MWC 2025, the company showed off its AI smart Glasses Pro.
We have to admit that AI’s next big destination is on our faces. Glasses allow you to access AI assistants without needing to take out your phone. Well, TECNO took this form factor by storm by creating a good-looking pair of glasses that could rival the Meta Smart Glasses.
TECNO’s smart glasses are super slim, giving off the impression that they’re your typical glasses. The company says that they’re no heavier than a pair of sunglasses. Even looking at the image of the glasses, they don’t look much larger than a regular pair of glasses.
The main thing about these glasses is the fact that you’ll be able to quickly access an AI assistant by performing a gesture on the temple. We’re not sure what assistant it will be, but it will most likely be the company’s own Ella assistant. You’ll hear verbal feedback from the assistant through the speakers on the temple.
Glasses display
That’s not all; these aren’t only AI glasses, but they’re also AR glasses. You’ll see a floating display over your eyes. With the display, you’ll see directions, notes, and more. The AR function will only be on the Pro variant of the glasses, however.
All in all, the TECNO AI Glasses Pro seem like they’ll be pretty compelling devices when they launch. Speaking of the launch date, we’re not sure when that is. The same thing goes for the price. Smart glasses typically cost between $300 and $500. TECNO is a company that sells its devices at great prices, undercutting much of the competition. So, we wouldn’t be surprised if we see a competitive price.
TECNO seems like it’s going to revolutionize this burgeoning market, and this is why its smart glasses received our award for Best of MWC.
