Best Of CES 2025: Lenovo Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable
Contents
Lenovo shows us all what innovation is with the Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable.
CES is going on, and we’re seeing all of our favorite companies show off their best tech. But, what’s the best of the best? That Honor falls to the Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable. This is the world’s first laptop with a rollable display.
Through and through this is a flagship computer. It’s powered by the latest and greatest that Intel has to offer. That’s the Intel Core Ultra 9 CPU. That’s backed up by 64GB of LPDDR5 RAM and up to 3TB of onboard SSD storage. Lenovo fitted this computer with five USB-A ports, a USB-C port, a card reader, a headphone jack, an Ethernet port, and two HDMI ports.
Additionally, this computer supports Wi-Fi 6, Wi-Fi 6E, and Wi-Fi 7. As for the display, it comes with a large QHD IPS LCD display. So all in all, this is a very capable computer, but that’s not the most notable thing. The real selling point is the display.
Rollable display
The thing about the Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable is that the display is extendable. When you activate the mechanism, you’ll see the top part of the display slowly rise. This will extend the display to a large 16.1 inches. It looks like something right out of a sci-fi film.
The screen’s aspect ratio will be squarish, as you can imagine. When the screen is fully extended, you’ll be able to stack two windows on top of each other. That could come in handy when you need to multitask but don’t own an ultrawide monitor. This computer was a couple of years in the making. In fact, Lenovo showed off a concept of this computer back during CES 2022. It looks like all of the company’s work has paid off.
The Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable has to be the most innovative product at the event. It charts a new path for computers going forward and makes us excited about what comes next. This is why the Thinkbook Plus Gen 6 Rollable gained our award for Best of CES.
