Best Of CES 2025: Hisense 116-Inch TriChroma LED TV
Contents
Hisense’s colossal 116-inch TriChroma LED TV stole the show at CES 2025, taking home the coveted Best of CES award with its groundbreaking display technology and immersive viewing experience.
Hisense made a splash at CES 2025 this year, announcing not one but two TVs that are over 100-inches in size. This is the smaller of the two, the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV, also known as their RGB TV. The big advantage for this TV is that it’s RGB which allows for even more accurate colors than ever before. This panel is able to achieve 97% of the BT.2020 color gamut, making it the highest ever for a MiniLED display. And that’s why we have decided to award it Best of CES 2025.
I was able to see the 116-inch TriChroma LED TV in person at CES this year, and I was blown away. The color accuracy is unmatched, to the naked eye. It looks stunning.
The accurate colors of the TriChroma LED TV is thanks to the tens of thousands of local array dimming zones. This helps any TV actually, as it helps the TV to become brighter, but also help with color accuracy – particularly with darker colors like Black. The reason why black colors always look sort of gray on older TVs with less dimming zones, is because each dimming zone is covering a larger portion of the screen.
The Hi-View AI Engine X runs the show for the TriChrome LED TV
As is the case with any TV, the display is just part of the story. For Hisense, it is using the Hi-View AI Engine X processor to power this TV. This processor is powerful enough to enable real-time optimization of every frame. This is thanks to enhancements powered by AI, like AI Peak Brightness, AI RGB Local Dimming, and AI Banding Smoother.
Finally, we have to talk about brightness. Since this is a MiniLED TV, it does get insanely bright. We’re looking at up to 10,000 nits of peak brightness. To most, that’s just a number, but when you see it in person, you’ll be able to tell just how bright this TV can get. And it’s incredible that even with such a bright panel, the color accuracy is still this impressive.
