At A Glance Bug Causing Weather Sync Issues, Forecast Delays On Pixel

As one of the core components of the Google Pixel, a bug with the At a Glance widget is affecting weather updates and delayed forecasts.

The default widget can’t be removed from your homescreen or lockscreen but you can turn off the integrations with your calendar, weather, Google Home, plus many other little mini updates that give you quick data or information. However, according to growing reports on the Google support forums, weather updates are out of date for some with the At a Glance widget on your lockscreen (via Android Police).

If you’re affected with this bug, the At a Glance widget will show weather information for the correct location but the forecast can show for the wrong day. For instance, it may show the previous day’s forecast as “today” in the morning. In the evening, the current forecast might be “tomorrow.”

According to the original post, this has been a problem for at least a week at this point in time and isn’t limited to one device or one specific update. This comes shortly after another bug affected the Pixel Weather app – which loads when tapping the At a Glance widget – has removed the real-time weather map.

There is no solution for this bug right now, but we’re hopeful that it’ll be resolved in an update or even a server-side fix. The data is correct, but it is just out of date. With that in mind, it’s important to double-check, and you won’t get caught out by potential adverse weather conditions if this is affecting your phone.
