AH Real Deal: The Xbox Elite Series 2 Core Is Now $159.99

There are tons of different Xbox controllers out there, but one of the best you can get is the Elite Series 2 Core, and Amazon now has a deal on it that’s worth a look. Normally this controller is $179.99, but you can currently pick it up for $159.99 and save yourself $20. The Elite Series 2 Core is basically the same as the original Elite Series 2 controller with one key difference.

It doesn’t come with the hard shell case or the extra accessories. The extra accessories include the additional back paddles, the different d-pad, and the tools for adjusting joystick height. You can buy these separately though, so you get the full Elite Series 2 experience. The nice thing about this version is you save some money and you don’t have to buy the extras if you don’t want them.

As for features, as we mentioned this controller is mostly the same as the original. You get the 8-way d-pad, four back paddle buttons that you can remap, and my personal favorite, the locking triggers. If you play a lot of first-person shooter games or third-person shooter games, the locking triggers are a huge advantage. As they allow you to fire your weapons quicker because the trigger pull is shorter.

It is worth noting that this controller comes in four colors, but only the Black color is on sale right now. The controller also has a rechargeable battery, so you don’t need to replace AA batteries like the standard Xbox Wireless controller that you can get for around $50. As far as pro controllers for Xbox go, you can’t go wrong with this one.
