Adobe launches the Firefly app for iOS and Android devices, bringing text-to-image, text-to-video, and other AI features. The app supports third-party AI models like Google’s Imagen and Veo, and OpenAI’s image generator. Firefly Boards also gains video remixing tools and support for upcoming models like Luma Ray 2, Runway Gen-4, and more.
If you’ve ever wished to access all the Firefly generative AI tools in one place, there’s some good news for you. Adobe has rolled out a new Firefly mobile app for iPhone and Android devices. Now you must be wondering what you can do in the app, right? Well, almost everything that you could do earlier using the Firefly. For example, you can generate videos and images using text prompts. But that’s not all, there’s more you can do.
Adobe launches the Firefly mobile app for Android and iOS
The Firefly app for Android and iOS now comes with Adobe’s text-to-video, text-to-image, and image-to-video tools. Besides that, you can also access the Generative Fill and Generative Expand features usually found inside the Photoshop app.
You can choose from three different third-party AI models to power the Firefly feature inside the new app. This includes Google’s Imagen 3 and 4 image models, Veo 2 and 3 video models, and OpenAI’s image generator. Do note that Adobe has also launched new third-party AI models and video generator support in the Firefly Boards platform.
Once you generate something within the Adobe Firefly app, it’ll automatically sync to your Creative Cloud account. This allows you to continue your work on the web and Adobe’s desktop apps. Similar to the desktop Firefly app, you’ll be charged Firefly credits to access some of the AI tools in the app.

New video capabilities are coming to Firefly Boards
Besides the Firefly mobile app, Adobe has also introduced new video capabilities to the public beta of the Firefly Boards whiteboard platform. To catch you up, the company announced the platform back in April this year. Thanks to new capabilities, you can now remix uploaded video clips and generate new footage using the Firefly video model.
If you want, you can also use third-party AI models like Google’s Veo 3 and more. The creative tech giant also says that it’ll soon launch new text-to-video generator models to Firefly Boards. You can expect to find Luma AI’s Ray 2, Ideogram 3.0, Runway’s Gen-4, and Pika’s text-to-video generator.
