Adobe has just announced new Photoshop apps for the web and for iPhone, and it will also be coming to Android “soon.”
Photoshop is the photo-editing app, to the point where it’s often used as a verb to describe editing pictures. However, the app has traditionally only been available for desktop platforms. That’s now changing, as Adobe has just announced an expansion to iOS and to the web following an initial “mobile” debut on the iPad in 2019.
Starting with the web app, Photoshop will be available without a download using a somewhat simplified experience. This is a part of the new “Photoshop Mobile & Web plan” which will include the ability to sync projects between Photoshop for iPhone and the web app. The plan also adds more features including layer effects, “Quick Actions,” generative AI features, and more. The free version on iPhone will support various edits and be able to save files in PSD format.
