YouTube’s Auto Dubbing Tool Will Soon Be Available To All Creators

YouTube CEO Neal Mohan recently posted his annual letter dubbed “Our Big Bets for 2025”. In the letter, Mohan highlighted AI as one of the company’s four “big bets” for this year. He mentioned the company’s investments in AI tools for creators, including ones for video ideas, thumbnails, and language translation. The YouTube executive also revealed that the platform’s auto dubbing tool will soon be available to all creators in the YouTube Partner Program.

YouTube will soon expand the availability of the auto dubbing tool to all creators

In December last year, YouTube introduced its new auto dubbing tool to help creators reach more viewers. This feature can automatically identify the language in uploaded videos and generate audio tracks in other languages. So far, this functionality has only been available for channels in the YouTube Partner Program that focus on knowledge and information.

However, YouTube will provide the auto dubbing tool to all the creators in the Partner Program later this month. This tool will make it incredibly easy for creators to reach users who don’t speak the same language.

Once the auto dubbing tool is available on your channel, you’ll be able to find it within the Advanced Settings in YouTube Studio. This feature currently supports dubbing in nine languages – English, French, German, Hindi, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Portuguese, and Spanish.

Using the tool, you can automatically dub English videos in all the aforementioned languages. However, you can only dub the videos in other languages into English. YouTube says it’s planning to add support for more languages and introduce some improvements for the feature later this year.

YouTube is also improving the podcast experience with new tools

Furthermore, the YouTube CEO revealed that the company is planning to improve the overall podcast experience with new tools soon. It will add more tools that will improve monetization for podcast creators and also make it even easier to discover new podcasts. Mohan also mentioned that YouTube is the favorite platform for listening to podcasts in the US. YouTube Premium will now also provide more perks, including high-definition audio and accelerated playback mode.
