For a limited time, new YouTube TV subscribers can save big on their first six months of service, but this discount is coming to an end very soon.
As advertised on the YouTube TV website, new subscribers to YouTube TV can “save $78 over 6 months.” The deal ends on March 31, but has been available since January 27 per YouTube’s terms and conditions for the promo.
The discount works out to a discount of $13/month, taking YouTube TV’s price down to $69.99/month from its usual $82.99/month cost. Customers can also take advantage of a 5-day free trial.
YouTube’s terms explain:
Offer is only available to users who are not current or former YouTube TV Base Plan subscribers and who have not participated in a free trial of YouTube TV before. Valid form of payment required at sign-up, but will not be charged until the trial period expires. After free trial (if eligible), users will be automatically charged the specified discounted price, US$69.99 per month for their first 6 months of YouTube TV Base Plan. When the promotion period ends, user will automatically be charged the then current price of YouTube TV base plan, currently US$82.99, but subject to change. You can cancel your trial at no charge at any time before the trial is over. You can also cancel your YouTube TV base plan subscription at any time.
It’s a solid offer, but the sting here comes in that YouTube TV’s going price was just $72.99/month before this offer started. The 6-month deal for $69.99/month is a discount compared to the previous pricing, but just barely.
Again, though, you have to be a new customer to take advantage of this discount.
In December 2024, YouTube TV announced that its price would jump to $82.99/month, but did offer some existing customers a 6-month price lock when they tried to cancel.
