Xiaomi 15 Series Launches Globally, And This ‘Liquid Silver’ Finish Is Crazy [Gallery]

Following its debut in China last week, the Xiaomi 15 series has officially hit the global market with a starting price of €999.

The Xiaomi 15 and Xiaomi 15 Ultra pack a punch in the high-end Android space, with the Ultra in particular being the company’s flagship. Both devices are powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite and will be sold throughout Europe and other regions. Pricing for Xiaomi 15 starts at €999 with the Xiaomi 15 Ultra coming in at €1499.

These are impressive devices in their own right, but what really caught my eye at MWC 2025 was the crazy “Liquid Silver” finish on the base Xiaomi 15.

Xiaomi’s new finish is pretty wild to see in person. It has a mirror-like finish with a visible texture that’s not just for looks, it’s actually physical and you can feel it while holding the device. It truly feels like no other smartphone I’ve ever felt. Xiaomi says it “boasts attractive shimmering curves from heat-bent glass.”

While it looks really cool, I can’t imagine using this for any length of time.

It’s an absolute fingerprint magnet, and the shiny finish would look insane on a sunny day. But sometimes those practical aspects just don’t matter. This is a fun design, and I hope to see more like it in the future.
