This year, we’re set to experience Galaxy overload, as Samsung is planning on releasing extra models in both of its flagship phone lines. One of which is its tri-fold phone, the one to take on the Huawei Mate XT. Well, it looks like we might see Samsung’s tri-fold phone in a few months, as it could have a July release.
Right now, information on this device is still scarce. We didn’t even get a Galaxy Unpacked teaser like we did with the Galaxy S25 Edge. So, you’ll want to take this news with a grain of salt (maybe two grains). If the leak is correct, the tri-fold phone, which could be called the Galaxy G Fold, hasn’t even started mass production yet. So, for all we know, anything could happen.
Samsung’s tri-fold phone could see a July launch
Samsung is desperately in need of a shake-up. The devices it has released over the past couple of years have been light on innovation but heavy on AI. They’ve gotten just as boring as Apple’s devices, which is saying a lot. The Galaxy G Fold might be the device to breathe some life into the company.
Huawei shook the world when it launched the Mate XT. It proved to be a pretty magnificent device, and everyone was looking to Samsung and wondering when its rebuttal would land. Well, according to a new leak, Samsung could introduce the Galaxy G Fold along with the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. We don’t know when Samsung will hold its next Unpacked event, but we’re sure that it will take place in July this year.
The report states that the company might start gathering components for the phone in April and start the mass production process soon after. This would give it about three months for mass production.
If it sounds like three months isn’t that long of a time, the report states that the company is planning on a limited release of the device. When the Galaxy G Fold launches, we know that it will be quite pricey, so not many people are going to buy it. So, if Samsung does unveil this phone at its upcoming Unpacked event, then it might be the most exciting part of it. Well, it will be if Samsung actually focuses on it and not AI.
