The Galaxy S25 Ultra is Samsung’s best phone, hands down. During the pre-order event, it is possible to get the AI-filled Galaxy flagship for only $399, as long as you trade in an eligible phone. That tempting deal includes a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds.
Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is great, but there has been some negativity about its resemblance to the generation that came before it. Still, trading in a Galaxy S25 Ultra from last year offers a pretty good deal, and you can get a significant amount of money off of the phone.
The S25 Ultra brings a Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, which has been purpose-built for AI applications, and 12GB of RAM. While we didn’t see the 16GB of RAM we wanted, 12GB will have to do just fine for the time being. Samsung also packed a more detailed display engine into the device, offering what the company claims is a better visual experience.
Right now, the Galaxy S25 Ultra is in its pre-order phase, which means trade-ins and prices are much better than they’d be throughout the rest of the year. By default, buying the Galaxy S25 Ultra will get the buyer a $350 Samsung credit with 9to5Google‘s links. Other links won’t add on as an extra $50 credit on top of the reserve credit if you signed up before launch. That can be used for official cases and other accessories, like a Galaxy Watch 7.
With that, trade-ins are significantly boosted. Instead of getting around half of what you bought the Galaxy S24 Ultra for, Samsung is offering $900 in instant credit. That also goes for the Galaxy Z Fold 6 or Galaxy Z Fold 5. Trading in the Galaxy Z Fold 6 might not be the best move, considering it’s still new and the price is pretty high, but the generation before it might be a decent switch, though we’ve seen better trade-in offers.
If you choose the 256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra variant, you can add a free pair of Galaxy Buds 3 Pro earbuds to the order. If you go with 512GB, the earbuds come out to $20. Still not a bad deal for an add-on. That pair of Buds 3 Pro is due to the $150 credit added with the storage choice. This system is genuinely confusing, but if you do it right you can actually get a pretty good deal on the Galaxy S25 Ultra.
