Samsung’s Galaxy A56 is getting closer to release. New leaks show off the Galaxy A56’s good-looing design along with a rather significant camera array change.
The Galaxy A series has undergone a few changes in the past few years. Two generations ago, the Galaxy A54 took on a more rounded design with side rails that curved where glass meets metal. Last year, the rails flattened a little to take on a similar design to the flagship S24 series. One unique aspect of that generation was a small protrusion where the power button is, and it looks like that’s here to stay.
A new leak from Evan Blass’ newsletter showcases the Galaxy A56 5G in four colorways. A silver, pink, black, and gray variant will likely be available, though the names of each are unknown. The Galaxy A56 gets the “bears all” treatment with a full 360-degree view of the phone. The only thing we don’t get to see is the top and bottom, which likely includes a USB Type-C port and no headphone jack, probably.
The Galaxy A56 takes on a flat design, much like the Galaxy S25 lineup. The back looks to be glossed glass with a new camera array design. Instead of the isolated lenses we’ve been seeing in Samsung’s design, the lenses on the Galaxy A56 are all part of on shrouded unit. The reason for this change is unknown currently, though it would likely have to do with cost since this phone is a mid-range device.
Another design choice to point out is the power button hump that extends past the volume rockers. This feature is present in the Galaxy A55, and Samsung has decided to keep it around.
There’s no new word on when the Galaxy A56 will see the light of day, but the presence of the leak indicates it’ll be sometime soon. The A55 retailed for £439 in the UK and €469 in Europe while not available in the US. If Samsung’s recent price freezes are any indication, it might sit at the same price.
