Samsung’s Android 15-based One UI 7 update is now available on all the company’s eligible flagship phones, including some of the last premium ones, like the Galaxy S21, Galaxy Z Fold 3, and Flip 3. These Galaxy models started receiving the update a couple of months ago, which is around the same time the company promised to complete the rollout by the end of July.
Last month, Samsung came up with a full list of remaining affordable Galaxy devices that will receive the One UI 7 update in June. It started rolling out the update to one of its popular mid-range phones, the Galaxy A54, in Asian and European markets a bit earlier than June. However, for Galaxy S54 owners in the US, the update indeed comes at the time promised earlier.
One UI 7 is now rolling out to Galaxy A54 phones in the US, but there is a catch
As reported by SamMobile, One UI 7 is now rolling out to carrier-locked Galaxy A54 handsets in the US. The update has a firmware version “A546USQUBDYE5” and requires roughly 3.5GB of data to download. In addition to all the new features, the update includes the May 2025 security patch to make your Galaxy A54 more secure.

As per Android Authority and several users’ reports on Reddit (1, 2, 3), the One UI 7 update is available only on Metro PCS, AT&T, T-Mobile, US Cellular, Cricket Wireless, and Tracfone. If you’re on another carrier or using an unlocked A54, no need to worry because you’re probably next in line, though no specific details about when it’ll be available on these Galaxy A54 phones.
As for what’s new in One UI 7, you get new app icons and widgets, new animations, Now Bar, AI integration, and many more improved features. And for Galaxy A54 users, there is more to come with the One UI 8 update, which is expected to arrive this summer. However, the Galaxy A54 will get the update after the company rolls it out to all eligible flagship phones.
Again, Samsung hasn’t shared a timeline as to when the Galaxy A54 will receive the One UI 8 update. The A54 is also eligible to get the One UI 9 update and two more years of security updates.
