Samsung has confirmed that its Galaxy Ring health wearable is getting two new sizing options alongside added features and an expansion to more markets.
When it launched in the second half of 2024, the Galaxy Ring offered quite a few sizing options ranging from 5 to 13, but there were more users looking at the large sizes than expected, leading to stock troubles when the Ring first launched. That’s since been settled, but demand for larger sizes has resulted in Samsung now announced larger Galaxy Ring models.
Available starting on January 22, the Galaxy Ring will be available in sizes 14 and 15. These will sell for the same price as existing models, and will be available to all regions where the Ring is sold by February 7.
Samsung is also expanding sales of the Galaxy Ring to more countries, with Cyprus, Czech, Greece, Hungary, Israel, Japan, Malaysia, Mauritius, New Zealand, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Taiwan, Vietnam and Zambia added to the existing 38 countries where the Ring is sold.
Finally, there are new Samsung Health features coming for Galaxy Ring.
These include “Sleep environment report,” which uses SmartThings devices to track the conditions of a room and offer suggestions to improve your sleep by changing the environment you sleep in. “Sleep time guidance” will be able to suggest optimal times to go to bed and wake up depending on your sleep patterns. Finally, a new “Mindfulness tracker” will help you “improve your health and achieve a better night’s sleep by managing your mood, breathing, and stress levels” with the help of breathing and meditation guides in Samsung Health.
