During its Q1 2025 earnings call, Samsung reported a 21.7% rise in net profit and also shared some early details about its upcoming Galaxy devices. These include the next-generation Galaxy Watch (likely the Galaxy Watch 8), the Galaxy Tab S11 series, and Samsung’s long-awaited XR headset.

Samsung drops clues about its next Galaxy Watch and upcoming XR headset

According to Bryan Ma on X (via Sammobile), Samsung revealed during the call that the new Galaxy Tab series will place even more focus on AI features, while the next Galaxy Watch will introduce an “innovative design” and enhanced health-related features.

Although the company didn’t detail the new design, it’s clear that Samsung is planning something significant for the Galaxy Watch 8. Early rumors suggest the watch will debut alongside the new foldables at Samsung’s July 2025 Unpacked event.

The most intriguing bit from the call, however, was about Samsung’s XR headset. The company has been teasing Project Moohan for some time, but until now, had been quiet about its release. However, one of the presentation slides confirmed that Samsung plans to “explore new products such as XR” in the second half of 2025. While we’ve seen glimpses of Project Moohan’s capabilities, this is our first official hint that Samsung is finally preparing to launch its XR headset commercially.

There’s still no confirmed launch date for any of these products, but it’s clear Samsung is preparing for a big second half of 2025. In addition to new tablets, wearables, and the XR headset, the company is also rumored to be working on an affordable flip phone and a trifolding smartphone for later this year.
