Samsung Details One UI 7 Release Schedule, With Delays In Some Countries

Earlier this week, Samsung finally provided a release date for its long-delayed One UI 7 update, with the rollout starting on April 7. Now, Samsung has offered a few more details regarding the One UI 7 rollout schedule, with some countries starting the rollout a bit later.

Samsung announced on March 17 that One UI 7 would – finally – start rolling out to users on April 7, no beta program required. The announcement came out of Korea, and was then followed by a global press release where Samsung added that “availability may vary by market.”

In further press releases from around the world, Samsung confirms that, yes, One UI 7 won’t be rolling out en masse on April 7, but rather only starting on that date, and seemingly only in the company’s home country of South Korea.

The press release in Korea contains no such footnote about timing, only saying that the update will “be rolled out sequentially” in Korea, North America, and Europe. It’s since been pointed out that, in some countries, Samsung’s press release details the start date, and it’s later than it is in South Korea.

For now, the official One UI 7 release schedule that Samsung has announced is as follows:

  • April 7 – South Korea
  • April 10 – United States, Canada, Norway, Sweden
  • April 14 – Malaysia
  • “Early April” – Belgium, Netherlands

We dug through every country-specific newsroom release Samsung provided this week regarding One UI 7, and the countries listed above are the only ones that provided anything beyond “April 7” with a footnote that timing “may vary by market,” recycling the same line from the overarching global press release. In some regions, Samsung’s Newsroom didn’t even have a post about One UI 7’s rollout yet.

Update 3/20: Samsung Canada has now issued a press release confirming an April 10 launch to the One UI 7 rollout on Galaxy S24, Z Fold 6, and Z Flip 6.

Timing may vary by device as well, though it sounds like Samsung will release One UI 7 for the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6 all at once according to the US press release.
