Samsung Delayed Galaxy S25 Edge Launch, The Wait Continues

Summary: The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch has been delayed. The device will not launch in April, but in May or June. We’re still not sure about the reason, but quality shortcoming are not it. The death of JH Han, head of Samsung DX, could have something to do with this, though.

Samsung has decided to postpone the Galaxy S25 Edge launch. Yesterday’s report suggested that the phone will launch on April 15 in Europe, while an earlier report suggested that an initial launch will occur on April 16.

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge launch has been delayed to May or June

It’s easily possible one or both of those reports were accurate, but Samsung decided to postpone the launch from April to May or June. A report from South Korea says as much, as Samsung sent notifications to the three telecom carriers in Korea. Max Jambor, a tipster, relayed similar information.

The report states that the reson behind this are not quality shortcoming or anything like that. It is possible that the death of the head of Samsung DX, JH Han, played a role in this decision. We cannot be sure.

Either way, we’ll have to wait a bit longer for the phone to see the light of day. This date change does move the launch of the Galaxy S25 Edge closer to the launch of Samsung’s new foldable smartphones.

As a reminder, the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Galaxy Z Flip 7 will launch in either July or August. It is even possible that Samsung will announce its first tri-fold smartphone then, it remains to be seen.

The device was teased earlier this year, and plenty of information surfaced already

The Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was teased by Samsung during the Galaxy S25 series launch event earlier this year. The company actually showed off the device’s design too, and we’ve exclusively confirmed some details.

The phone will ship with 12GB of RAM while 256GB and 512GB storage options will be on offer. We’ve also confirmed that the Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack colors will be on offer.

What about the price? Well, the starting price tag will be between €1,200 and €1,300 in Europe.
