POCO F7 Series’ Global Launch Date Officially Confirmed

POCO, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, has officially confirmed that the F7 series will globally launch on March 27 in Singapore. The next smartphone flagship lineup from the company will include the POCO F7 Pro and POCO F7 Ultra. If rumors are true, they will be the rebranded versions of the Redmi K80 and K80 Pro, respectively. Do note that both K-series smartphones were unveiled in China late last year.

Multiple leaks and rumors have revealed what to expect from these devices before the official announcement. Both the POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra are expected to sport a 6.67-inch 2K AMOLED display. The display will come with a peak brightness of 3,200 nits and a 120Hz refresh rate.

Based on the official images, both smartphones will feature a circular rear camera module, housing the sensors and an LED flash. The POCO F7 Ultra will come with triple rear cameras, likely featuring a 50 MP primary camera with OIS, a 50 MP telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom, and a 32 MP ultra-wide camera. The POCO F7 Pro camera could feature a 50MP primary OIS-assisted camera and an 8MP ultra-wide lens.

As for the selfies, the POCO F7 Pro and F7 Ultra will likely feature 20MP and 32MP front-facing cameras, respectively. Talking of processors, the POCO F7 Pro might pack the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC under the hood. On the other hand, the POCO F7 Ultra could take things one notch up with the latest Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC. Both of the upcoming Android smartphones will likely come in 12GB/256GB and 16GB/512GB configurations.

The volume rocker and power button appear to be on the right edge of both smartphones. The bottom edge could feature the regular USB Type-C port, speaker grill, SIM tray, and mic. Based on rumors, the POCO F7 Pro could be available in blue, silver, and black color options. The Ultra variant could come in black and yellow shades.

The Ultra model will likely come with a smaller battery

Moving on, the POCO F7 Pro could come with a 6,000mAh battery, while the F7 Ultra might pack a considerably smaller 5,300mAh battery. The Pro model will support 90W fast wired charging support, while the Ultra phone will come with 120W wired and 50W wireless charging support.

Both smartphones will likely boot Android 15-based HyperOS 2 out of the box. Their cases may offer IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. The F7 series will be another big launch from POCO which unveiled the X7 series back in January with a special Iron Man Edition.
