If you’re looking for a new pet door for your dog or cat, Pawport just announced its new ‘smart’ offering at CES 2025. The company brought forward an upgraded pet door model with a two-door system.
Pawport introduced a new, upgraded smart pet door
This pet door actually mounts on top of existing pet doors without a problem. That way you can quickly transform your old pet door into something that looks more modern.
Pawport basically decided to improve its design from last year. The exterior door here works in tandem with the inside door for best security, weatherproofing, and function, says the company.
This product is constructed of thick, powder-coated steel and aluminum. There are two solid deadbolts included here. Tamper alarms are also integrated here, and are in sync. There are three new series of doors announced, actually, Standard, Designer, and Signature.
How do they work? Well, it connects to a lightweight, waterproof smart collar tag. That way the door can open when your pet is near. You can pair the Pawport pet door with the Pawport app too. That way you get remote control and management options. You can set a curfew and get access to other scheduling options.
It supports Alexa, Siri, and Google for smart home integration
There is also support for Alexa, Siri, and Google Assistant here, so you can easily integrate this product to your existing smart home system. Pet-specific tracking and usage data is on offer too, and there are three sizes available, based on your needs.
The Standard series is the most affordable. It’s made out of steel with strong composite plastic doors and finished with durable paint and a top coat. Designer and Signature Series are made out of steel with heavy-duty, aircraft-grade aluminum doors. The Signature Series also offers a subtle textured facade that mimics natural wood grain in a range of tones. That way you can pair the look of the pet door with your home style.
The Pawport pet door can be powered with an optical rechargeable battery pack, which is concealed inside the door. Or, alternatively, you can plug it into an AC power outlet using the USB-C plug on the bottom. There is also an optional Pawport Solar Panel that you can get.
The company also announced some new accessories
You’ll also notice that LED lights are built into the door. You can control that via the Pawport app the way you see fit. Pawport also introduced some accessories at CES 2025, including an array of collars that match the doors, and Smart Pet Tags too. The PawMat was announced as well, a premium turf mat to keep the paws clean, and more. Price tags are still not known.
